The global network Yunus Environment Hub provides expertise on all aspects related to environmental issues. Building on over 40 years of Grameen's experience in developing and implementing social business solutions, YEH was co-founded in 2019 by Christina Jäger, Hans Reitz and Professor Muhammad Yunus as a social business.
Yunus Environmental Hub offers expertise and support in circular economy, waste management & plastic recycling, carbon neutrality, biodiversity & afforestation, sustainable agriculture, clean Energy, access to water & sanitation. The YEH network covers over 100 countries and consists of organizations, experts & individuals. This facilitates the design and piloting of solutions at global level while implementing at local level with local people and other stakeholders committed to solve social and environmental problems for the common good.
Julio and his business Amazonia Emprende were laureates of Yunus Environmental Hub and Professor Yunus personally visited the project with Christina in Colombia in 2022.
